Week 36

Our driveway was poured this week and they are expecting to finish the house this week.  Our final inspection is booked for the first week of October and hopefully we are moving in a few weeks!!!!

Week 35

Now it is finally time to get excited!  Inside, the finishes are nearly completed and we are on track to finish in the next few weeks! (pending minor fixes etc based on inspections).  This week, the external balustrade went in, bamboo floors, wardrobe shelving, shower screens, fly screens and continuation of tiling.  Things are flying!  

They also put on the garage doors and took down our block fencing!

Week 34

This week has been very busy.  Onsite we have had renderers, plumbers, electricians, fixing carpenters and heating /cooling.

We've also come to a compromise on the stairs and will be really happy with the results.  

Our SS thinks we are on track for a September finish, so we are expecting to be in by middle of October!  The house is really coming along, here are some pictures:

Week 33

This week, the tilers continued their work and it looks amazing.

Next week brings electrical, ducting, and a major discussion on our stairs!

Week 32 - Painting & Tiles

Painting continued this week and the rooms are starting to take shape.  All that is left is a few skirtings, architraves, doors, feature walls and touch ups.  They are doing a great job.  We are really happy with the three coat system.

The tiles have also been delivered.  The tilers started with a the laundry, powder room, main bathroom and toilet and minor ensuites.  Our SS told us the tiling should be done by the end of next week.

No further positive progress with the stairs....

Week 31 -Painting!

This week, the painters started inside.  We opted for the three coat system, so the whole process should take just about two weeks.

Unfortunately no progress on the stairs yet.

Week 30

After meeting with our SS this week, we have all determined that the stairs have either been incorrectly ordered or incorrectly built.  Now we are waiting on Boutique to determining which is the case and get the stairs re-ordered.  Hopefully this doesn't cause too much of a delay.

Over the next 2 weeks the painters will be on site.  They have already put a first coat of stain on the timber.  It is looking great!
